i got promoted from A3 to C1 in March this year with a rating of Very top (VT). My salary increased from 31K to 41K.is this salary avg for a c1 with that rating? Also i heard that anyone with that rating for september will be getting a minimum of 45K for C1? this is not fair?

Hi,What do you think has changed at Accenture from Feb - now, that the decision makers have decided to increase C1 salaries by min 4k?Also, if they do, I would not worry too much, as surely your C2 salary should be significantly in excess of 45k if you are rated VT again??

"C3 - 52-55k "Kinda true unless you missed out on a payrise last year in which case you still get the C2 pay level.

unless you missed last 2 years that is and still on C1 salary going in as a C3 this sept. But these exact points have been raised to the leadership and apparently we will see these issues addressed in this years pay round..

Presumably it's performance that determines whether you go to the upper or lower end of those brackets? If you enter at the lower end of C1 but perform really well that yr could you go to the top end for your C2 payrise?

yes that is correct - it is performance based. However, for the past few years it seems all the new C1's have been baselined at 41-42k irrespective of what ratings they were promoted with. the year i moved upto C1, i was placed on the same pay scale (~500 difference) as someone who moved to C1 with a higher rating. the pay raises range (non-promotion) from 5-14% depending on ratings. Usually.

For once an anon who speaks the truth! The above is spot on. Only thing I would add is that pay rises this September are likely to be at the upper end of this and more for everyone due to people leaving for higher salaries elsewhere/last years pay freeze/conditions improving. As a C1 I'm hoping we'll be going up to over 50k as C2 but will wait and see!

I joined as C1 earlier this year - assume I will be exempt from this year's pay review? Would that also be the case after a promotion, for example, if you get promoted in March 2010 you wouldn't expect a payrise until September 2011?

If you were fortunate enough to be promoted in March then you'll also be in line for a sept. pay raise (non promotional) based on your rating.
