start by telling us which specific part of "The IT industry" you are interested in and what educational background/IT experience you already have?

Hi. I am not sure what aspect of IT i would like to enter into as yet. I come from a retail and manufacturing background and have always been interested in computers and computing. I have no professional qualifications to speak of but have experience using computers for the last 15 years. I am currently working supporting disabled people and cannot afford to leave my job to study full time. I am leaning towards Web Design or Systems Engineering. I have looked at the likes of Computeach, ICS and Learn Direct and these all seem very expensive to gain MCSE qualification eg: £3,500 - £5,500. Any advice on where to start would be a great help.
