Greetings,Can you recommend any French language tutors/tuition companies? I am looking for tutors/companies who are familiar with business/management consulting terms, and either offer in-house tuition or can set up dedicated classes in London (zone 1 ideally).My firm has an opportunity to work on a series of projects in France. Although the client has English as their business language, my team and I are keen to refresh/upgrade our skills before hitting the ground.Thanks.

What level are you starting from?

"schoolboy" - mainly O-level/GSCE, some did A-levels, but none of us has the business vocab

Jeremy,I would recommend www.institut-francais.org.uk which is the official French language institute based in South Kensington. They do all sorts of language courses, including business courses and tailored courses for corporates. They also have a lot of French cultural activities which can also be useful in getting teams up to speed with culture and attitudes (especially if you are going to regional cities and not just Paris).I took a class there some years ago and it was a very good refresher ahead of a six-month stay that turned into three years. A word of warning – if the work is in Paris, make sure you get a good expenses policy signed off. Same if its Nice/Cannes or Monte Carlo.Let me know how it goes – slightly jealous at the thought of it!

Jeremy, do any of your team still remember any of the French they studied at school? The reason I ask is that if any of them are over the age of 25, even if they got an A grade, the chances are they now remember next to nothing (even though some may be too shy to say so). I'm guessing that any course will need to basically start from zero? Could be a lot of work for limited benefit (other than showing willing to the client)? As an aside, I wonder if any Linguaphone type things may be any good?
