It appears that Ineum Consulting is looking to increase the size of its FS practice in London. Does anyone have an idea of how these guys are viewed in the market at the moment? (type and quality of work).

It's part of Management Consulting Group (MCG), sister firm of Alexander Proudfoot. Previously known as Parson Consulting. Prior to changing name to Parson, I think it was one of the Big4 financial consulting arm in Europe (think it was in France). Proudfoot is very supportive of Ineum. Where possible, Proudfoot will involve Ineum in it's projects (not sure if it's still the case now).I think recently MCG just restructured (hence including change of name from Parson Financial Consulting to Ineum) and many 'foots were cut'. But think the "sea should be calm" now at MCG, including Ineum.Think Ineum also applies the same 'services logic' as Proudfoot - services only the top 500 Fortune companies (or those companies that can affort its services) - hence, will imagine its projects are normally with big companies.Don't think the culture has improved or is any better after the restructure (double check on this).

Thanks for responding. I see from older posts that they have a strong tech focus. Is this the case from your experience/knowledge? I am looking for more of a operations and/or strategy focus.

Hi FS,Ineum is the former Deloitte consulting France. Deloitte had to exit the consulting maket in France for legal reasons after the Enron collapse. At first they kept some relationships until Deloitte re-entered the consulting market.I can't say for London but in France most of the market is IT driven (except the MBB of course). Ineum is no different. Their core business in what is called in France "assistance a maitrise d'ouvrage" which is the "business" part of an IT project: writing functional specs, testing, PMO... don't be fooled by their marketing presenting their business as "operational strategy".I suspect the London office reflects partly that history, hence the strong tech focus you mentioned. There was an interview of one of the partners in consulting times sone months ago.
