OC&C San Francisco and Brussels office closures?

What's the scoop on OC&C apparently having closed these two offices recently? Both have disappeared from (most of) their website but are still listed at the bottom of fairly recent OC&C publications. Should a new OC&C employee be worried about the health of the firm?

I'd be more worried about you coming on here to find out what is happening in your own company!

No idea about the health of the firm, but you would have thought that of any two offices that should be ultra busy, Brussels (EU) and San Francisco (Bay Area) would be them. Why not phone up reception and ask to be transferred to the Brussels office, and see what they say?

As OC&C is confederated rather than one firm per se, the closure of these offices should not cause alarm - and anyway both regions could be served well from other more prominent offices. If you are going to be a consultant crafty look past the headlines and try to figure out the business issues and rationale behind it. As long as you are joining a significant office - London say - then don't worry. It's an excellent firm - get in, get a couple of years under your belt, then look to move across to one of the larger firms.

Lots of companies are looking at their office footprint across the world at the moment to see if there is any scope for reducing costs. Mars a day is right in that as long as you are applying to a signficant office you should be fine - unless the company goes belly up of course!

Thanks, that's reassuring. I'll be in the London office so no worries for me then!
