Does anyone have an up to date figure for MBB graduate salary. I have an offer from an IB of 42+10 and was wondering if an MBB offer would be in the same ballpark.Thanks

MBB starting will be 35-36k base, no signing. It hasn't changed for a few years so don't expect it to this year with pay restraint across the other ranks.

That's a real shame if true. Don't think I want to work in strat con enough to take a £16000 pay cut, which given bonus expectations could rise to a £30-40000 pay cut.

Question: If you have an offer from a bank, and you potentially also have a consulting offer in the pipeline, then you must be a decent candidate.Given that, how can you be so clueless as to now be making this decision based on salary?Surely you must have researched this long before you got to the offer stage, in which case why even interview for the consulting firms?

I'm not making the decision solely based on salary. I have tried to find out about salary before but its hard to get a decent figure for MBB, just saw this site so thought I'd give it a shot. I think the interview process is a really good chance to get to understand a job/career. If it was the case that I fell in love in with a consulting firm then salary wouldn't be a deciding factor. If all other factors are difficult to balance, the fact that one job will pay a lot more is a factor.2/3 years ago, banks and MBB paid 36k. Banks have moved to 52-ish including sign on - I hope that MBB might have moved to 40/45. Don't worry - I'm not on here looking for career guidance. Just let me curiosity about what the figure for MBB might should I get an offer from a final round.

McK starting pay is 36 + 3, with an additional 2.5 for relocation, and 12% of salary into a pension too. So max total comp is 45k in the first year.
