I was wondering, do Analysts on the graduate scheme at ACN receive pay rises in their first 24-36 months, before they are promoted to Consultant level? Also, does anyone know approx what % of Analysts are promoted to Consultants? Is it a case of up or out after a few years on the grad scheme?

No rises, and around two-thirds move up to consultant - others generally quit of own accord; either in the first few months because the job isn't what they expected, or within a year of the promotion round - no point hanging around when the rest of your cohort has gone

actually yes they do. end of year (sept.) there is a non promotion pay rise for all. this naturally depends on your rating. usually 4-5% for consistent, 7-8% for above, 10% ~ for sig above etc, 15% for very top (all rough figures, varies year to year). however this is dependent also on how well the firm did that year. naturally this year, there was a pay freeze..0% all around (apart from those promoted of course).

It's reasonable to expect small annual increases depending on rating (averaging 5%) over the 24-36 months before being promoted. Historically, one would expect an average of 10% but I think it will be a couple of years before these levels return and the starting analyst pay has increases recently.Although eligable for promotion after 24 months, most analysts will be getting promotion around the 36 month mark. I think the post above is accurate in terms of % getting promoted - 75%In saying this - it's all dependant on the economy and what the other big players in the sector are offering in terms of increases to retain staff ..
