Hope your'll all had a good Christmas and have a good new year.I am joining the graduate program of ACN and applied for system integration and tech. However, I was advised that all grads start off at ATS and get routed after a year.I worked previously for one year at a big four firm and thus my experience got me to start with a better pay. However, majority of posts have a negative vibe around accenture. Why is this so? I got a family too and worried bout the long working hours? It was voted top employer to work for this year is SAAny tips of advice will be greatly appreciated

Well you've accepted the offer now, so you're stuck with it aren't you. There's not much advice anyone can give except:a) start looking for another job - go back to any other applications you made that are still in progressb) start work and keep the money flowing for the sake of your familyc) work your tail off and see how it goesBtw, you have a family, you're joining a graduate scheme, and you're wondering about long hours??? That doesn't bode well for colleagues putting confidence in your judgement or inviting you onto their teams.

Every grad who applies to SI&T starts in ATS? That's news to me. Either ACN have radically changed their policies since I were a lad, or they're feeding you a line. Are you sure you didn't mean ACG?

All Consulting graduates (in the UK at least) will start in the Analyst Consulting Group (ACG). ATS is a completely different workforce (Solutions).I have worked for Accenture for a number of years and although there are drawbacks (as with any firm) - I would say that my own personal experiences have been extremely positive.

Thanks for the posts guys. Yeah I found that strange to, I went for the SI&T interview yet I am going to be working in solutions now under ATS as a solutions architect. HR said all grads start in this position and can transfer to SI&T after a year if this is the post they initially applied for. Kinda strange isn't?Am in South Africa so perhaps things operate differently around here, Probably there's not much SI&T work and more ATS related work for grads to kick start there career?
