... but fairThe complete lack of professionalism in some parts of PA amazes me.In my own practice, the largest bonuses seem to go to those that are chummiest with the partners, irrespective of on the job performance. And then there's the partner in one of the 4th floor practices, who only puts the cute girls on his job. Everyone in the practice knows about it, but no one ever dares to mention it.PA is a luddite organisation - best to avoidIf you have any doubt about this, have a look at the string of postings on this forum attesting to this.

In my experience with dealing with PA Consultant, I find their steadfast ignorance or business acumen breath-taking. They are probably the biggest and most ineffective exponents of business jargon. Ther service offering is best described as vague and non differeniated and the whole veener of credibility and gravitas is quickly eroded as soon as start speaking to these people..they start waxing lyrical of business process optimisation, change management, project management, IT strategy, IT sourcing, IT architecture, process mapping and all the other-wordly stuff they spew..crikely it feels like conversing with a bunch of ACNs.

ITMO is about

...sourcing advice, where PA is a market leader and IT service management e.g. ITIL. If you are good with that kind of thing you will do well. Good partners in that practice.

ZB you haven't had a sensible thing to say since you joined this forum so I would take any advise from you with a pinch of salt. The majority of PA bashing that goes on here is completely unjustified. PA, like any other company, has its faults but it is not fundamentally a bad organisation to work for, nor is it guilty of gross incompetence in terms of its operating. In my experience it tends to steer clear of body shopping unlike many of its competitors and it is not awash with fresh faced grads who think they are the next Alan Sugar. Is it perfect, no, but it's certainly not as bad as people seem determined to make out.

"In my experience it tends to steer clear of body shopping" Ahem...have you got any experience?"In my own practice, the largest bonuses seem to go to those that are chummiest with the partners, irrespective of on the job performance" That's life, pal - get used to it. Same everywhere else in anything."And then there's the partner in one of the 4th floor practices, who only puts the cute girls on his job" As above, same everywhere else. Pity the partner who has to pick from the 4th floor talent pool.
