I have recently been rejected by Mckinsey BTO (Final round). I found their area of work very interesting eg- IT Strategy and/or projects with no goal to win follow on implementation work. Can anyone suggest other players in this space?

The usual suspects (BCG, etc) but on this occassion you might want to consider Gartner (Consultancy) as well.

Interesting thread...Which firms would you rank as the Top 10 (CIO) Advisors on IT-related strategic issues?

In random order the following firms definately do IT Strategy on CIO level:BCG, Gartner, McKinsey, Accenture, IBM and on one occassion I've seen ATK acting in this field. Someone mentioned Booz, but personally I have never seen them working on IT Strat.

ACN's SITE and Capgemini's BIS are in that space too. The latter is headed up at Europe level by McKinsey's former BTO head, so continuing to move up the value stream. not sure of SITE has to sell thru to delivery; BIS is within the consulting part of CG which is independent of the tech and o/s arms
