I have worked as a Strategic Financial Business Consultant for the United States peace corps for the past 3 years within the republic of Moldova, and before that I owned a car dealership in Oklahoma. However, while in Moldova I worked with local industry and agricultural leaders, to strengthen their core businesses, helped them enter new growth areas, and enable them to divest from underperforming businesses. Moreover, all the work was conducted in both the local languages of Romanian and Russian. Now, I am currently an MBA student at the Bradford school of management, and would like to go into strategy consulting with either a medium size or small boutique firm that specializes in the eastern European emerging markets. My questions are as follows:1. Being as though all my consulting experience was obtained within a government organization, how will that effect my ability to enter a Quality strategy firm?2. Will the fact that I do not have corporate experience be a death sentence, and how can I get around this issue?3. How powerful, or how much weight do you think that the Bradford MBA carry with consulting recruiters? 4. How do I determine what firm target the Eastern European emerging markets?I look forward to hearing any and all of your thought on these matter; however, if anyone has very specific advice please feel free to email me personally at raidersirwinston@yahoo.com Best regards,Jerry
