To the op: Fair points from all the posters above re. which is better. I'm sure there are stats from here to the moon about why one is better than the other and vice versa. I can't objectively say which is better - but from a very subjective and personal point of view: I interview candidates for my firm, come from a big4 background and went to Warwick. And if I saw 2 CVs, one with Aston, the other with Nottingham, all things being equal I would rate the Nottingham one higher. I have no substance behind this prejudice, simply an "impression" I have built up from somewhere (press articles, talking to people, etc., etc). But to my actual point: ignore all the advice above. Go where you want to go and spend 3 years of your life - perhaps the 3 best years. You may decide after 2.5 years you don't want to do consulting. You may meet the man/woman of your life at uni and decide to do something completely different. Go where you'll have the best quality of life, and where you'll feel most comfortable, and want to work the hardest, and get the best results. Only you can decide where you would prefer to study. (And if you have no preference either way, go to Nottingham).
