Hi I am currently studying for an MBA student at Hult International Business school ( London, Shanghai & Boston) . ( Major: International Strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business valuations and international negotiations). Would really appreciate if you someone can advise on how to get into strategy/change/management consulting? I have aeronautical engineering degree and 8 years of management, commercial projects and business development experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, car rental and electrical retail. There are three ways to do this.1. If you go to a target b-school, they will come to you via open days, career fairs etc. be ready by being in the top 10/ deans list, etc for your MBA school.2. If you are not a target school then take the significantly weaker step of sending your CV via each company's web site.3. Try applying direct to smaller firms that do not have "target schools"How did the MBA go? Did they teach you all about business? It's important to be switched on, eh?

What you need now is a nice suit. Everyone likes a nice suit. Maybe a tablet computer of some sort with a pie chart on it. Tell them how your degree aeronautically engineers, no doubt making studying simultaneously in London, Shanghai and Boston easier.Very good of you also to study for a student at Hult. In some countries, a CV is typically the first item that a potential employer encounters regarding the job seeker and is typically used to screen applicants, often followed by an interview, when seeking employment.If not, then do look to draft one - it can then be distributed to said strategy/change/management consulting firms!!!!! :) :)Good Luck!

Found you in 30 seconds on LinkedIn. Your work experience + CV brands are not so compelling, Hult is not a top 10 business school (although it's not the worst by a long shot) and you undergraduate degree was not at a top University. You'll be bypassed by the top firms for high level strategy work, potentially you could join an SI brand in their transformation practice. Other than that, concur with the below, look at either going back to industry or choosing a small firm. Arby
