Hi,I'll be soon starting work as a consultant (joining from industry). I know that there will be a lot of travel to client sites across Europe. I understand that I'll be on client site Mon-Thurs most weeks.Would welcome any recommendations on good luggage options? Thanks!

Have at least one item of luggage that can take 1) a suit, 2) a set of casual clothes, and 3) can be carried on to a plane.

Thanks GrayArea. Any recommendations on a particular brand/model that you have found particularly sturdy etc?

Samsonite wheelie case. Check their website - they'll tell you which one is the standard size that fits in overhead compartments. You can then consider a Samnsonite laptop bag, whch has a 'sleeve' that slips through the handle on the wheelie case, allowing you to attach the laptop bag to the case and wheel them through the airport with one hand. Won't get your suit jacket creased with carrying it on the shoulder strap, and leaves your other hand free to browse duty-free.Or you can go for the size down from that, but you'll have to leave your jogging shoes at home. Do people actually carry a spare suit with them when travelling out of town? I just have the one I wear on Monday morning?

These are my favourite types of threads on here. I have the smallest case I could find that can be carried on and also transport a suit without ruining it (I don't like travelling in suits). They're quite hard to find but they do exist. I can't remember the make but it's quite old so probably irrelevant. Bought it in House of Fraser, ~£120.If going away for longer periods (more than week) then you won't be able to carry on unless you're a very lean traveller. Anything solid will probably be fine.
