Thanks! As someone coming in from a professional background, I wanted to certainly show my business acumen and ability to think of issues that may not be as apparent or in your face.Having said that, I do say that I sometimes provide too many issues as I certainly want the interviewer to know that I am thinking of all possible things. How can I present such while being structured? My current thoughts are to perhaps round out my answer with "Although there are variety of issues we could look at, as a consultant I would primarily focus on X, Y, Z, in the pass through"
Being 'structured' is key to consulting. If you cannot articulate your thoughts and ideas in a coherent and structure manner, that means, you will struggle to get your message across.Consulting engagements are 'structured' into work packages or workstreams. To me, case studies are activities to test 'structuring' abilities. You can learn to be 'structured'. Start by understanding frameworks. Anyway, I am sure you are able to effect a 'structured' approach to be more 'structured'.
