After receiving this advice on my previous interviews, could anyone perhaps provide their input on what specific steps I could perhaps take to ensure that these comments are reflected in my next round? Thanks!

It's a bit difficult to know, but I would make the following recommendations:When answering competency based questions, use STAR - Situation, Task, Action and Result. Google it, you'll find better advice in the 100s of sources then I can pen in a few minutes on this forum.Make sure you listen to the question carefully, check your understanding if you're not completely clear on the question. Answer it without rambling too much. I've interviewed people where I've asked a question and after them rambling on I've completely stopped listening. I usually think they'll have the same impact on clients.

Hmmmm. Once asked a candidate my opening question and he took thirty minutes to "answer" it. Asked him another and he took the same time! Two questions and he was out the door with me saying" we have a lot of candidates to see, we'll let you know in a few days..."

Thanks! As someone coming in from a professional background, I wanted to certainly show my business acumen and ability to think of issues that may not be as apparent or in your face.Having said that, I do say that I sometimes provide too many issues as I certainly want the interviewer to know that I am thinking of all possible things. How can I present such while being structured? My current thoughts are to perhaps round out my answer with "Although there are variety of issues we could look at, as a consultant I would primarily focus on X, Y, Z, in the pass through"

Don't ever say "in the pass through" again.

Depends on the context. If it's in the context of case interviews, then you might need to be better at talking through your mental model / issue tree. E.g. How can Manufacturer X sell more crisps?A bad approach:- they could do cross-promos- they could get a celeb sponsor- they could do tv ads- they could sell bigger bags- they could make more flavours- etc.You might hit on many good points in your laundry list, but you'd likely do so by accident, and the interviewer couldnt be sure if you were being MECE. Showing you can break down a problem logically is more than half the battle.

If you cannot articulate your thoughts and ideas in a coherent and structure manner, that means, you will struggle to get your message across.Consulting engagements are 'structured' into work packages or workstreams. To me, case studies are activities to test 'structuring' abilities. You can learn to be 'structured'. Start by understanding frameworks. Anyway, I am sure you are able to effect a 'structured' approach to be more 'structured'.
