Afternoon AllHope you're all settling in to the new world of self isolation and endless video calls....Prior to all this, I managed to land two offers with these two firms. I prefer the role with Capgemini but they are bringing me in at a lower grade than I had hoped. While this would be almost a step down in responsibility from my current firm, it would only be a side step in salary. PA on the other hand, offered me 10k more than I what I am currently on. The position is the equivalent to the grade above in Capgemini (the grade I had hoped for when I applied to CG)Not sure what to do here. CG is a better overall firm especially for my area (Technology Transformation). The type of work is likely to be more interesting but I would need to work pretty hard to turn a promotion around in a year. My long term plan is leave for an industry role in my mid 30s (currently late 20s) so i see the following as my options. 1. Go for CG - Accept drop in responsibility and side step in salary - better brand, plenty of time to rise through ranks. Will be useful when moving in to industry2. Go for PA - Accept 10k more, get a promotion. Reassess situation, potentially pursue stronger brand? Welcome all thoughts. Is PA dead now or are they still a strong brand? I don't hear them mentioned in the consulting world these days
