Hi allJust wondering if someone could shed some light on this. I just had my last stage of application process for experienced hire strategy consulting role: Assessment centre. It has been 5 days since I had the assessment day and haven't yet heard back from them. Normally they would get back to you in 24 hours to let you know the result. I was wondering if this is something I should worry about?I realise different department and teams will have different ways of handling things and this might cause some delays. But from what I have heard, the results from assessment centre would be given in 24-48 hours based on what I read in some forums. many thanks

Although you might expect these things to be like a well-oiled machine, in reality there is usually a human involved. Often multiple humans. It could be that your assessment centre feedback hasn't been reviewed yet, or the recruiter is on leave, or the hiring manager has been flat out with client work. What I'm saying is; don't panic. Give it til Friday then give your contact a call to ask for feedback/if there's anything they need from you.

Hi Newbie,Sorry to ask an irrelevant question, but can you explain how you prepared for the online aptitude tests, and what was the main focus of the numerical ones (e.g. Percentages, Fractions....etc) ? I have applied for a Manager role and expect to go through the 1st round shortly.Thank you

Hey big_bad_az So I have not actually practiced any online tests prior to the online test. The test link comes with some practice questions and I just did that. However I would like to add that I did a variety of data crunching, etc in my projects generally and that helped me. If you are in the same path, you will be fine with what you have learnt from your experience. If i remember correctly, it is focused on simple numerical calculations and finding relevant data in the question quickly (from graphs, tables, etc)Hope that helps.cheers
