Hi,Has anybody heard this company called "Kepner Tregoe"? What do they do (are they into strategy or operations consulting)? Which industries do they operate in? What services do they offer? Are they really a management consultancy or are they a training company?Does anybody have any information on their recruitment process?I would especially be interested in hearing from those who have worked in this company before or are currently working.Looking forward to your responses. Many Thanks!

Christ, can no one use a search engine anymore? There is LOADS of information on this company on Google, both from primary and secondary sources, that will give you the answers to the questions you're asking. E.g. They're primarily a training company, but they've got a problem-solving approach that they can cascade to managers:"In 1958, based on extensive field research, Dr. Tregoe and his partner, Dr. Charles H. Kepner, formulated a systematic thinking process for problem solving and decision making. At the time, these activities were typically considered to be a function of instinct and "gut feel." The result was the Princeton, NJ-based company known today as Kepner-Tregoe, Inc., which continues to improve the problem-solving and decision-making skills of hundreds of organizations around the world. Kepner-Tregoe revolutionized management education. The company was the first to develop a "train-the-trainer" model, which transferred skills to trainers who, in turn, imparted them to coworkers. This approach, along with process consulting, remains standard practice in the field of organization development. Dr. Tregoe was elected to the Human Resource Development Hall of Fame. Dr. Tregoe was a strong proponent of "Basic Beliefs" as a dynamic force for guiding organizational behavior. Said his former colleague John W. Zimmerman, "The concept of Basic Beliefs was as integral to the strategy formulation process that Ben and I developed as considerations around products, markets, capabilities, and financial results."

Hi KT,Kepner-Tregoe does mainly training, very light consulting. However, they will tell you they do consulting... Industries - mainly industrial manufacturing, IT, consumer products.Consulting projects are concentrated in ind manufacturing, but are not that many. The other groups do not see much consulting, if at all. Recruitment - HR screening (basic background questions), several face to face / group interviews, case study (not the typical consulting case though, but based on the methods they teach), presentation to a group of senior managers/partners.Which office (continent) are you looking at?
