Hello Consultants,I'm what's called a non-traditional student in a BA Humanities program at a top public university (THE top public if you believe USNWR). I say non-traditional because I already have a BBA from a respected regional business school, and chose to get another BA because the MA offerings in my area are pretty much bullshit (as is acknowledged within my field). The idea was to go into a PhD, but I found myself maxed out on studying. I've got a pretty high GPA, 3.8 - 3.9 in both degrees. I have quantitative skills and mental math abilities on par with my engineering friends (who have accepted job/internship offers at consulting firms). I have a GMAT cumulative in the top 3%. I'm also in the "honors college" here, which means I take some grad level seminars and write a long, interdisciplinary thesis. I have a year of experience as a financial analyst for a large corporation (not anything Wall Street). A few months experience researching equity markets and doing business journalism. I'm maybe 2-3 years older than most of my classmates. I did the second Bachelors because it seemed like the best way to avoid rotting away as essentially a Midwestern accountant, and because I eventually plan on doing graduate work in something non-accounting/finance related.Any suggestions on marketing this to management/hr consulting firms? And please, I can take thoughtful criticism, but nothing offhand.
