Hi,I've just graduated from Oxbridge with a 2i in a scientific subject. I've been applying for Graduate schemes pretty much non-stop since then and ended up with an offer for Ernst and Young Financial Services Advisory and a final interview for Deloitte Operations. I was just wondering how people viewed these two positions and any potential disparities in prestige, exit opportunities but more importantly how enjoyable it is to work there. I personally found the people at Ernst and Young really friendly and approachable which I think is really important for my first job. I also have MBB+B applications ongoing however I'm not holding out too much hope as I don't have an amazing internship or a 1st. I was also wondering whether any specific discipline within financial services at Ernst and Young is more respected? Thanks in advance for any advice.ConfusedGrad

As a general rule, I'd go for Deloitte over E&Y any day - better career development, prestige, exit options etc.The particular areas you're being offered make it even clearer for me. Deloitte Ops, as part of S&OP, is the most exclusive part of Deloitte, and does well in the Ops marketplace. Of course, I'm not all that interested in finance advisory, and find ops work a lot more interesting. If you've got a burning desire to be in finance, that can tip the balance for you.I can, however, believe that E&Y folks may be friendlier. Deloitte is fantastic in many ways, but rarely do I hear "fun workplace" as a description.
