Hello everyone!I'm new to this forum, I'm thinking about applying for internships in consulting and I have a few questions.... reading your threads and, tbh, many employers web-sites, I have the feeling the big ones (bcg,McKinsey,Wayman..) recruit mostly from the Oxbridge area... now, I'm studying applied maths in edinburgh and I am wondering: I am being irrational and should I aim for lower-profile firms? I know it's always worth a try, I just don't want to give them too much importance if I know I have no chance to get a place there... Right, that said, any suggestions of other firms, maybe less known, that offer summer internships? I've been looking at forums, targetjob.com etc, but I might (most likely) have missed some... Any tips for my CV or online applications? Books you'd recommend to get a grasp of the current status of economy and consulting world (and about consulting in general) that would be helpful IF I manage to get an interview? Thanks, and sorry for the long question!
