Hi FolksI m new to the industry -consulting , through having over 10 years of solid indsutry expereince. I v got couple of questions- First, in terms of company culture, promotion, and international exposure, whicherver among Accenture or Booz Allen would you think prevails?-For non billable posts- Contracts Managment in particular, somebody with 10 years of expereince, whats the salary range? the post is in the Middle East. Ingeneral who pays better Accenture or Booz Allen?I have been approached by both, and would like some advicethanks

If you are referring to Booz & Co I would say definitely go to Booz if you had to decide (in my biased personal opinion). But why do you have to decide? Interview at both and see what works. If you get both offers, then you need to worry about the choice.

I agree with Anon66. Never close off an option untill it actually IS an option.

agree not to close off an option until it really is on the table, but if both landed I would go Booz in MENA and Accenture in EMEA.

Marsaday, I would be interested to hear what you base your answer on, particularly the preference for Accenture over Booz in EMEA? Many thanks.

larry it was an off the cuff decision but I am basing that on the fact that the OP said this is a non billable position. Booz have been strong in MENA for some time - when EMEA started to go quiet they pushed hard in the Middle East, and alot of very strong people moved over from the European business. I also think that the market for the non commoditised, premium priced services is more robust in MENA given the less mature state of infrastructure, finance, services, so there is more scope for selling strat work - note the strength of top tier firms out there. But in EMEA commoditised consulting and IT services to refine mature operating states is the norm, hence more opportunity for firms like Accenture. For a non billable role this translates into a bigger platform - more complex contracts to manage, more clients in the mix, and of course more legislative complexity which offers more opportunities to build capability as an individual.
