More than fairIn this case Acn appear to be respecting your experience and bringing you in directly as a consultant rather than cutting it in half and making you an A2.

Many ACN consultants with 3 years in the firm would be jealous of your salary, so you should be more than happy.

Awesome. Well from the sounds of it I should have no complaints....and I don't. Quite chuffed actually; I suppose the Masters (from a top uni) helped, along with the quality of experience.

Thanks, newstarter. Did they email or call? Also, was the position 'Strategy consultant' or 'Management consultant'?

i joined them as an Anlayst straight out of uni - nearly 4 years ago. Now Consultant grade, haveing fast tracjed to consultant level after 18 months as analyst. I am only on 44K, so that seems like a great offer. Only I am pissed of that you will have less experience, and earn 10K more than me!

Hi, need some expert advice urgently. I am Engineering graduate with post graduation in management (MBA) and have 6.5 years of consulting experience. I have been offered C2 grade only. What salary should I accept as fair? I think they are offering me pretty less ..

C2? I wouldn't expect more than 45 these days. It seems everyone getting promoted to c1 is getting 42 now when it used to be closer to 50.

Since when has a c1 salary ever been 50 grand? for the most part of 2000 - 2005 C1 was no more than 40 (generally around 36/37/38). C2 used to be at least 50 granted.

2007-2008 wen they lined up everyone's salaries. Maybe you were gone by then...Some promotes got 50% payrises after good ratings but those days are long gone. Most of those people are now stuck at C4 back-biting like cannibalism is en vouge, the rest have already left.

sorry, i too cannot believe that C1 in the UK has ever been 50 sterling, especially when almost every level from a1 to m4 is paying less than in 2005.
