Think victo's figures are off the mark. Aslo Moscow and russia in general is not a nice place to live: corrupt, dirty, gloomy, danergous and voilently racist. It's a tragic ironly that for a country that extolled the vitures of equality (communism) its is a very rascist place right now

Victor, ZB - Thanks for your kind replies.I am shocked because I was offered measly $3500. I am not an MBA, though, and have only 1-year work experience.I also know that last year one consulting firm offered $2500 for the entry-level.ZB - unfortunately I have to agreee with you regarding life in Russia. Maybe this is why everyone looks so unhappy here.

And speaking of salaries, what would you say is a realistic salary rise after a year of good performance?Many thanks.

Hi gain!FYI - today exchange rate (Central Bnak of Russia) is following:1 GBP=51.3344 RUR 1 USD= 24.6232 RURIf you divide day rate in RUR, you will get salary in hard currencies.In our case we should understand difference between BA and associates (consultants) salaries in international STRAT consultancies based in Moscow where the cost of living is one of the highest in Europe now. In addition, for expats without MBA & Russian skills there are less oppportunities and chances. Kearney, Monitor, Strategica etc...But if you don't speak Russian or have super talent, nobody will provide a personal translator. many Russians guys speak 2-3 foreign languages. We deal in Russian with clients on CIS territories. Office day if Friday afternoon only = in Moscow. Now majority of clients are not based in Moscow.best wishes,victor

(Mck, BCG, Bain, Booz-Allen)Is the 3500 USD, net? gross? did they offer a rental of apartment? etc...Do you have a Graduate degree or undergraduate?
