Simple one line description of a business situation - you take your time and then engage in a discussion on your approach for the problem. No charts or graphs or formal calculations. You will be expected to be quick with mental maths and to think on your feet.

Hi Ow, may I kindly ask you (regarding FS Consulting practice):Don't they require to take any gmat kind of test? Are you supposed to take only cases? Can you describe a typical first round? How many people are you going to meet? Differences btw interviews in London Vs. rest of EU offices? Thanks a lot!

Hi,I have 1st round interview next week with OW in Financial Services area. Really know very little about the firm. Anybody got any info to share? Also how are the interviews? Along the lines of investment bank interviews or more chilled than that?

#0 Accepting Offer - Legally binded

Hi, I have an offer from ACN, which is not really appealing grade wise. I have also a contracting offer which is good, however looks like the job may be boring, don't know yet. Hence i wish to check this out. I have to respond to ACN in 1 weeks time and i do not want to respond as No but want to keep the option open just in case i change my mind later on. The joining date for ACN is late Jan. My Qs is it legally binded that once i accept the Job offer, but then change my mind later on? Can i do that? Any advice?

Speaking of Oliver Wyman, has anyone heard back from Oliver Wyman GMC regarding the outcome of the numerical and critical reasoning tests?

JosephI'm due to take this test in January. Quite nervous about it. Could you let me know how difficult it was, and whether it was SHL style, assuming it was for the London office...Thanks a lot,Alex

It's more GMAT than SHL in my opinion, and it's very tricky. You have twenty minutes for the numerical test and twenty for the critical reasoning. There are thirty questions although you're not expected to finish it. Questions answered correctly get +1, unanswered questions get 0 and incorrect questions get -1.

Thanks for the hint. I would have thought it was SHL style, but very useful to know that I have to seriously refresh my maths for it.

More GMAT than SHL? What else is here besides application of percentages, ratios and proportions. There's not going to be trig, algebra or geometry is there? Anyone know of any practice tests that are more similar?

Yes, I'd be interested in knowing a little bit about this test. It's my only chance to get into a good strategy firm, so don't want to let this chance slip. So, if anyone has any additional advice or knows some practice sites similar to the tests at OW, please pass on. Cheers.

More like the GMAT? Oh great so will there be algebra, geometry and the like on it. Maybe it's just me, but some GMAT questions would be pretty tricky to answer in under a minute.

There's never an "only chance to get into a good strategy firm", you will have many if you work hard!
