Hey guys, firstly what a great resource this is for a newly graduated Computer science and business student, tonnes of info from the inside, I've had a great fill of useful tidbits!I was wondering whether anyone had had any experience with the london firm QEDIS? I've done a few google searches, and searched the forum's but info is pretty thin on the ground. Thanks in advance for any info!Kind regardsJuan

It is now 14 months old, but Mick James did write a feature on them last year. You can review at:http://www.consultant-news.com/article_display.aspx?p=adp&id=2846Tony RestellTop-Consultant.com

Hi,I moved to Qedis 9 months ago after 5 years at Accenture and it’s proving to be a great firm with some really interesting projects. It has a big 4 feel to it (a lot of people here are ex Deloitte or Accenture) but with all the benefits of working for a smaller firm – great exposure, much more personable and a real chance to get involved with growing the firm.Do you have any specific questions? Happy to answer them if I can.Regards,Owen

Owen,I've only recently discovered the forum, but I hope your offer still stands.I'm interested in both Accenture and Qedis - I understand there are vast differences between the two in terms of size, scope etc, but there seem to be similarities too. From your experience, would you recommend either one above the other?(Taking the usual into account: training opportunities, levels of responsibility, variety of projects, working hours, progression opportunities both internal and external, etc)Thanks!

Hi,Accenture is a big machine and has all the pros and cons that go with that, whereas Qedis is smaller and has different qualities - ultimately it depends on what suits you and what you’re looking for.Based on each of the points you mention I personally would recommend Qedis over Accenture: we are expected to complete training each year and are open to search for any suitable training that meets our development aspirations, exposure to more senior clients and responsibility is greater than I ever had at Accenture, working hours are comparable, and being smaller I think we are a truer meritocracy. Another point worth making is that because of their size Accenture take on different consulting engagements that are often very large, structured long-term implementations, whereas the focus at Qedis is more on the advisory side with smaller teams and a flexible approach.Owen

Thanks Owen,It's so hard to understand what a company is really like, and how the day-to-day experience compares with alternative firms - your personal view was a great help. The importance of a large brand is my greatest concern (any thoughts on this?) but then the Qedis location, flexibility and impressive performance for such a small firm are all a big plus... I think I'll give it my best shot! Thanks again.
