Good morning everyone,I was wondering, until which professional level will I have to do bloody case studies when I interview for a job at a Strat consulting firm such as Deloitte Consulting, McK and the like?Thank you.

That is a good attitude to have anon. By the way I work for Bain, and you need to do them at all levels including partner (unless you are bringing business with you,which in most cases you are not).Too many people here talk BS. The case study is not meant to be impossible, if it was I would not have got in. It's simple a testo f your mind. Practice helps big time.

Hi Bainer,I just think case studies are a pretty bad way of selecting candidates. Im quite good at my job, though still crap at them. Im not the only one around.About practicing Case Studies - I agree, but some of us are not from business/economics backgrounds and never really thought about them until we started looking for a job. I'd rather do something useful with my time, something really intellectually stimulating, than go every so often through a (in my humble opinion) lifeless one-sheet business case. Thanks for your opinion, though.

So what about the other firms such as Deloitte Consulting, McK or BCG?Mars, please, (and other headhunters) whats your experience here?
