Hi All, I have been contacted by a ex-colleague who works in the new EY BAS, and have been called in for interviews etc. I know they are hiring quite a lot, have massive growth targets, and look to invest to become a real player. I am worried though, that they will not ( at least for a few years) be considered a 'worthy' consultancy, and people will associate it with less prestige in terms of a) clients b) work. However, it is very unsual to see a start up within an existing company; where one can draw on both huge sums of capital and an existing brand. Furthermore, promotion can be quite fast for good performers, givng me the possibility to climb the ladder a bit quickly. ( i am now a consultant, 3 year experience). What do you guys see this opportunity as? What are your thoughts?All your advice is appreciated, thank you

Check out the same discussions in various postings below.EY are a good partnership but BAS is a bit of a risk, as it might have overambitious growth targets, and is being run by a bunch of ex-IBM and ACN partners who turned respected consultancies into Outsourcing sausage factories and will likely do the same thing in EY.As for promotion prospects, if you're good enough, you'll make it anywhere. I'd hold off for a year or two - why gamble with your career ?
