Its all about what is sellable- no one realy has a problem with women or relatively straight acting gay men any more, it is very unlikely a client would refuse them or even unconciously be biased against them, so they progress in consultancy.Transgender- depends on how convincing they are- I know of one in consulting, but you would never know she wasn't born a woman, and she doesn't campaign or do anything that would call attention to herself- or her firm. Drag Queen- probably unlikely as to many people it is too 'in your face' to be ignored and many people find it upsetting or difficult to understand. Likewise any very outre behaviour- I've never seen a heavily tattooed or pierced consultant (many of us have both- but they are hideable)- basically we sell to the market, so we have to reflect what it can cope with at that point
