Does anyone have any advice or experience around job searching abroad or any recruitment consultants who specialise in this? I have 6 years experience with Accenture and I'm looking to find an opportunity to relocate to an English speaking foreign country for a few years

Why not go overseas with Accenture? Surely easier than starting from scratch in a new territory.Unless six years have turned you into an initiative-less Anderoid.

It seems that the larger the firm, the more internal economics plays a part. Reasons given are a strong pound, high demand locally etc etc

You need to find a reason why they should send you abroad- an account that needs growing, or a huge sale they can't staff with the right calibre of people locally. And then be flexible when they give you 10 days notice of the move... and discover it isn't to New York, but to North Carolina, or Puerto Rico, or ManilaSaying you fancy going abroad, but only somewhere where they speak English and there are lots of hot single women with cute accents probably won't cut it- but after 6 months in Bombay, I am now half way through 3 years in New York- I think its karma
