This question has been asked ad nauseum.Answer is that its being run by a load of ex-IBM and ACN partners, so expect it to grow rapidly into something like those orgs who specialise in large scale public sector jobs.

What does "good package" mean, if you don't mind my asking? Any idea what %age premium they might offer, over and above the Acn/IBM/etc...where they are poaching staff from?

"where they are poaching staff from?"IBM mainly. The group is headed up by the former head of IBM BCS financial area. He's brought a few of his top guys with him too, so expect to see the joyous atmosphere he created in IBM come in to BAS too.Wait and see before joining. It might not seem such a good idea this time next year

the Finance side is headed up by an ex IBM chap but the overall advisory services is headed by an ex ACN guy. There are a mix of ACN, CG and AT Kearney partners and the culture is forming.

EY BAS has come under severe criticism on this forum. Often this is based on complete untruths and fictious information. To get some things straight. BAS is recruiting a diverse pool of consultants; we have people from McKinsey, BAH, CG, ATK, industy specialists and ex-IB. Yes, we even have people that have come from Accenture and IBM. However this is NOT a majority, nor are we trying to recruit or build a new ACN / IBM. Out of 180 people, 30 are from ACN, 9 from IBM. Im sure these figures can quite the harsh and unsubstantiated comments that are being made out there.

I went for interview with BAS in April, and wasn't very impressed by them. It seemed a bit rudderless. I think the chaos there was evidenced by the fact that no one ever got back to me with the results of the interview. Whatever about disorganised, its also very inconsiderate.Their financial group now has the old IBM partner running them, so he should bring some discipline, eventually. I can't say that I'm disappointed that I didn't join.
