I'm sure there are personal reasons that explain why you've arrived at the stage you have, but the point is that you seem to be a 33 year old graduate who can't get a job in nanotech.I can see two paths for you:1) Get a job, right now, and don't be picky about it. You're already was behind the curve and at risk of being long-term unemployable due to your lack of professional experience2) Stay in academia. Do a masters and/or a PhD, and take it from there. A word of caution though - academia is not an easy path to take and pays relatively little for the amount of work you do. Its main compensation is in the enjoyment you get from pure research - if you're not passionate about this, don't bother.
