All, some advice much appreciatedAfter several years in pharma industry I have an opportunity to move back into consulting with a top consulting firm, senior manager, 110k base etcI am execution focused; pitches and long hours over mindless decks to sell another dream doesn't do it for me. I want to be in the company, sleeves rolled up, working on actually implementing my solution, not pitching for it. The City wine and lunching dine talks are not my thing. Question is, will my career be limited if I chose to become a specialist in execution. Most firms during recruitment say that a number of associate partners / directors do indeed just that, but its hard to cut the marketing waffle and see if in reality one is actually targeted on sales plus utilization. Lastly, i am worried about the hours. 60 hour weeks can be long; do you think I face even longer hours at this level? The firm is tier leader MBBB.Thank you very much in advance
