Hi All,I have been invited to the IBM Assessment centre next week for a technology consulting role - in enterprise applications. I have ~ 8 years IT + Technology Consulting experience in the enterprise applications area. Can anyone please advise if there are any key criteria that IBM use to select / reject candidates post the assessment centre and what are the success rates at the assessment centre? Can anyone let me know if the decision hinges on the technical interview (to assess comptency) on the assessment day? Also does anyone know how long does IBM take to revert with feedback post the assessment centre at the current time?

Not being hugely constructive, but just can't stand seeing 'bizglish' being used in place of normal English.post -> afterrevert with feedback -> respond, get back to you, give you an answerat the current time -> now, currently, at the momentIt's perfectly possible to write formally and sound intelligent without resorting to bizarre invented constructions or Latinisms.

I have finished my assessment centre in London and it was a very good experience. It consisted of a number of interviews - Technical , Partner and HR and a management case study which required a solution to be provided. The interviews were in different order for each of the participants and the entire group was divided in 3-4 smaller groups (8-9 consultants in each). The technical interview was an assessment of the expertise which I had listed on my resume and a detailed discussion of the different projects that I had worked on through my career. The partner interview was an assessment of consulting skill, attitude and approach towards dealing with critical work issues etc.The HR interview was to assess company fit and reasons why you want to join the organisation, salary expectation etc.The management case study was a group activity aimed at assessing team , presentation and communication skills and also apprach to problem solving. In summary, it was well organised by HR and felt that each of the activities were aimed at assessing if candidates fit the role and the organisation.

Has anyone who attended the IBM assessment centre in London over the last month received feedback from IBM? How long did it take for IBM to revert with the decision on your application?

Hi, hope you have been offered the role. I have been invited to attend the AC on 08 March for a Security Consultant Role. I believe the format of AC would be similar to the one you attended. However, I would appreciate if you can spare few minutes and answer these questions for me, please. A Management Case Study - Is this like a case study exercise! I did a case study exercise in my last AC in 2009. We had some funds, and based on the case study, we had to agree and pick a charity to help. Can you share your experience, please? For how long did it last? Partner and Technical interviews are with the hiring managers, or a senior team member, same description is provided for both interview "with a senior GBS manager from the practice to which you have applied" from your experience what is the difference between partner and technical interviews! Was it one to one or? for how long did it last?HR interview, what questions did they ask you, is it one to one or? I hope you are an IBMer now :)I am looking forward to hearing from you, Regards, Saif
