3+ years of experience strategy and operations consulting: KPMG in Ukraine + smaller company in Russia + currently working as a temp for a small consultancy in the UK.MBA from a 2nd tier business school in the USLanguages: pretty good English, native Russian.Currently live in the UK.What salary do you think I can expect if I start looking for a permanent job in the consulting industry in the UK?

Which Business school did you go to ? Howmuch experience do you have in Total? These two are vital !On a different note - you might be interested in contacting EY BAS. I'm not sure if they pay well but they are recruiting.IBM also appears to be recruiting and unlike BAS their salaries are unambigious.

You can expect anywhere from 40 K to 70K. It'd depend upon how relevant your experience is to that particular division. Generally though unlike the states there isn't much of an MBA culture hence unlike ACA, MBA's here command less money. Obviously this excludes the likes of LBS and INSEAD.

hey, have you seen this??http://www.ft.com/cms/s/58e61058-09ea-11db-ac3b-0000779e2340.htmlI think this means that the MBA is a very important animal in both the USA and the UK. However, i do feel that you are spot on with the wages, but it really depends on the culture of the firm that he applies to almost as much as his background. This is becasue he could find himself dealing with a fellow alumni, and then who knows what could happen!

Hi Pak,I have pretty much similar background, but a bit more experience (also worked in Moscow for about 4 years, in the Netherlands for half a year at Merril Lynch and now in Deloitte uk for over a year; also have an MBA from the Netherlands). I can say that there is a big range in a salary that you can potentially negotiate and I would recommend not to grab the first available job, but to look around into opportunities more. Now the market is better than 2 years ago when I was looking for a job here and besides, MBA is definitely helpful. Esli hochesh, mogu posovetovat nekotorih recruiterov i t.d. - pishi na e-mail
