I have started a career in Asset Management (physical assets, not financial) and work for an Engineering Consultancy, after being a Civil Engineer for 7 years. I have been advising clients (predominantly in the Public Sector) on infrastructure Whole Life Costs, predicting future required CAPEX and OPEX for acquiring / maintaining /disposing of assets, risk, performance models, deterioration models, investment appraisal etc etc for infrastructure assets (highways / hospitals / airports / bridges / rail etc). I am new to this type of work but I'm using my MBA extensively. For this reason, I'd be interested to hear if any of you Management Consultants conduct similar type of projects? Does PAS55 mean anything to anyone? I'd be keen to hear which MC companies "do" Asset Management?Thank you in advance.
