I realise most consultants move from firm to firm a number of times throughout their careers, and I just wanted a brief idea of whether you've kept small pension pots at lots of different companies or have consolidated as you go?I realise this is a pretty dry subject - and I'm not after any definitive answers or pension advice - just curious to learn from your individual experiences as it is a choice I'm facing shortly!

I'm a contractor so I've my personal pension and taxfree savings. If you're an employee, you're likely to stay a couple of years and will enjoy company pension as well so that's a different scenario. I'd consolidate if I were in that situation just out of convenience. There even are switching bonuses with some providers. But it's a matter of what the "existing" and "new" pension scheme would offer.
