sorry guys to bother you with another accenture question, but i was wondering if anyone has insider information on the newly formed analyst consulting group at ACN is this just SI rebranded or do you get the opportunity to actually experience both MC and SI&T before making the choice as to where you want to develop your career?any help much appreciated

It's only just been launched so that remains to be seen. From a social perspective it's definately good because as analysts we all have days out together now which is a lot better than before.Itmeans the red tape fr working between different industries is gone so that's good too. As far as getting to do more MCIM stuff and make it easier to go there instead of SI&T only time will tell. In theory yes it should e easier though.

You will get to do what you want. it is up to you to drive it.

It's supposed to be a way of postponing specialisation until you reach consultant level, which means that they stick you wherever they need you. you might not get any say in this and it could be most of your first 2 years so no guarantee of much choice. I met a couple of people who had been on their project for 15months and were going to be kept longer. Having said that, one person (out of about 25 on the internship) got placed on an MCIM project, and a few on ST&T roles. Apparently once you're in it's easier to shape your career path (after your first role) than it used to be.
