Oh wow. Oh mama.My company has engaged one of the major consulting firms to assist with a compliance project. They started this week. I was actually looking forward to working with them – they’d be smart, dynamic, engaging and generally good to work with.Wow – how mistake I was. A bunch of gormless, charmless, characterless muppets. The quality of consultants operating within your industry is lamentable. We could/should have invited in a random collection of employmentationally-challenged lads and significantly improved upon the quality.

it still baffles me how the consulting firsm get away with it. There is often a need in a company to bring in people to audit, assess, study, analyse, strategise and make recommendations. Sometimes, consulting firms are the way to go. I suspect, however, that consulting firms are often engaged for the wrong reasons to do the work that contractors or well qualified temps could do. Unfortunatley there is so much pressure to sell projects that consulting is often sold in when it is not the right solution.

Yeah wot is you implicating, as me n boys all be talking this way from when we was born in our cribs , yeah! This is engerland today so yous must stick wiv it yer? That was my impression when talking to an accenture grad recently, yes standards have fallen and the 'English' requirement is right up there with 'Ethnic diverse'.The younster whos elocution was abysmal had a 2:1 from a Manchester University.Personally, i would just outsource his function, as thats about the only difference between outsource and insource presentation and appearance in all aspects of the job.Accenture love outsourcing, so I assume this young mans time is limited. Probably.....

It may just be me, but I get the impression that stateside things are much better off in this respect. Something to do with the statutory segregation being much more intense in their society, what do you reckon?
