I am currenlty really struggling to decide between graduate job offers from two very different consultancies. One is Accenture (the Analyst Consulting Group scheme - experience accross ACN's various business areas) and the other a small strategy consultancy that is only a couple of years old. On the one hand Accenture appeals due to its global reputation, the grad training and excellent package. But I hestitate because I wonder whether I would be happier at the smaller firm, maybe getting more hands on experience and finding the day to day work more fun. If anyone has any experience of having made a similar decision it would be great to hear about it. Does anyone regret having opted for a large company over a smaller one or vice-versa? Would opting for a small recently established firm limit my future career options or could it open up more doors due to the unique experiences it could offer? Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.

As you say it all depends and your view of the future.I chose a smaller firm over Accenture, though bigger than the firm you refer to. I can't say how it would have panned out at Accenture but I believe I experience more in my 2 years at the smaller firm in terms of client exposure and interesting projects.The flip side was having to be more proactive on getting into assignments and lacking some of the bigger firm feel and wider range of different roles.When I moved into industry I had no problems, though lack of brand name on the CV was balanced by excellent client experience.
