Hi all,It has just been confirmed that I have been promoted to Manager in the Advisory practice. Can any one shed any light on what happens in regards to salary.Do the people promoted all get moved onto the bottom of the salary band for manager regardless of their previous salary? I guess my salary is lower than the standard exec and would like to know if this will impact my new salary. Thanks

ETConsultant1985,If you are being promoted from an SC to a Manager within Advisory your salary should rise to around 60-65k mark.Internal promotes two years ago recieved 65k, while last year the slaary was 60k.People promoted within EY do not move into the bottom salary, EY is actually quite good at giving it's internal promotes a significantly higher pay rise than someone who would be hired as a junior manager. For example, a graduate at EY who is promoted to SC (after around 2-3 years) will recieve 45k (or has done for the past few years at least) whereas the salary of someone who joins the firm as an SC can start from 37k, even with 4-5 years experience.
