Hi All,I have an assessment centre coming up shortly with Deloitte and this will last all day comprising Presentation interview, written exercise, partner interview and group exercise.Just wondering if anybody could give any advise on what to expect exactly on each and any other useful tips?Many thanks in advanceGuy

Anyone, please help!!Assessment day is approaching and 2 years back I failed just because I couldn't crack the group excercise as they found my contribution minimal to group excercise. This time I got another chance and want to do my best so please share the tips to crack group excercise.regds

Group exercises are about making the right contribution. dont speak for the sake of it to be heard, its what you say not how much you say. however you need to ensure that you are noot forgotton. make valid points which challenge without coming across as someone who wants to take over the group. think about what value you can add with your information in the exercise! (my advice comes from going through this myself and working for one of othe Big 4)

I would add that you should try and influence the direction/approach. Don't be the person who grabs the flipchart pen only to write down what everyone else says. Make your contribution heard but in a way that isn't divisive or aggressive.

smile, Senormick,many thanks for your valuable inputs. Last time I was interviewed for Senior Consultant position around 3 years back. I failed despite of my interviews, presentation and case study were rated excellent however, overall I was rated as average due to group excercise. they saw me as someone who couldn;t resist the temptation to come into limelight. But anyhow, Glad that I failed that interview coz I joined another BIG 4 at manager level shortly after that interview with dot. Now after 3 years I am appearing for an interview again and this time I must make it. Not sure which level I am being considered for i.e. MGR/SM... should I ask them upfront or leave this question until later?Do they have differnt assessment centre for SM?your views are really geniune and useful I will keep these tips in mind.RegardsOP
