Hi folks,I'm doing some research into the "characters" of various industries and have visited a variety of message boards during the course of my doctorate.I thought I should just point out that never have I come across such a high number of childish/racist/homophobic/pedantic posts as I have on this board. I only hope this is not a reflection of consultants as a whole.

Hi DisgustedIf somebody wrote the 'characteristics of various industries' would you consider that pedantic? Would it make you Disgusted?You have to accept that it is a careers forum. As such, at the discretion of top-consultant, posts on other subjects should really be deleted from the site. That includes posts using foul language which are both childish and sexist. Sadly it would also include my post, although not because it is pedantic, childish, racist or homophobic.Are you aware though that without the link to a careers topic this might also include your post?This thread as stated, rather than your doctorate, currently appears to be a bit of a waste of time, and it ignores the even higher number of posts offering top contributions on well considered career matters.

sorry to interrupt anonyed but I'm doing a doctorate on names and I can´t work out whether yours is Azeri or Persian...though I have a sneaky feeling it may be from that Catalan part of Sicily

Although I'd extend the rule of depravity beyond management consultancy, if only because the corporate or "proper" world (as more pretentious advocates call it) is itself an intensely damagaging mind***k.
