Just learned that I've got a second interview with one of Practise Directors of Axon - first one was excellent but what should I expect on the second one? Case study? Assessment? Any feedback welcome, especially from recent Axon recruits! Thanks !

What level are you interviewing for, and which practice? As a managing consultant, my second interview was with the head of business consulting. No case study, just an in-depth exploration of my project experience, a discussion around my business development experience, and a chance to demonstrate "why me?" and the value that I'd bring to Axon.No real tricks or surprises, but you'll be asked to provide specific examples of where you've demonstrated your skills. Waffling or consultant-speak won't really cut it if you haven't got the goods....

Thanks a lot Axonite! My first interview was with the Practise Lead of EPM, who suggested I should be placed in the Change Management practise. The second interview is with one of that practise's Leads. What's the Change Management practise like? Thanks again, Anna

Anna, suspect this has to do with your relative seniority. Axon only take managing consultants and above into most of their service lines. Change management has a more generalist skillset, and many projects (including EPM projects) draw the majority of their staff from the Change Management pool.No specific advice, really, except to reinterate what I've said before. It's worth learning a little bit about the types of projects that Axon undertakes (large business transformation projects) and how you might fit into that. You should also have some view of where you'd eventually like to focus (EPM, elsewhere?)Good luck with your interview!

Hi AnnaI hope you are already in Axon by now, I am having an interview with a head/lead of Change Management practice. This is my second interview after the successful first one with the operational head of Business Consultancy. It would be a great help if you had this experience and would share with me.

I'll be starting with Axon shortly. I was also interviewed by the Change Management Head and the most important issues were:1. Fit: why exactly Axon, what do I perceive as their strengths and weaknesses and why not some other SAPconsultancy (they knew I was interviewing with other firms)2. Contribution: what exactly would you do on a new, say implementation project - not only in mere platitudes but as in steps - this is your chance to both impress and see how they work by asking relevant questions, e.g. establishing how big the project is, who are the sponsors, number of people working on it, etc. 3. Personality - this was to make sure I know how to deal with clients, manage expectations and deliver what they want - many detailed questions about my past projectsNothing tricky or intimidating, just a really good talk. Hope it goes well for you, post your experience on this forum again. And don't get influenced by the negative posts about Axon - they have been efficient and well organized throughout the recruitment process.Good luck, Anna

Hi SM,Before the interview with Head of CM I was interviewed by a senior member of the CM team (I can't remember the title exactly). This was probably to give me flavour of day-to-day life in that team and see if I'll run away! As I didn't, a third and last interview was scheduled within 10 days. All in all, the whole process (first interview to signed contract) took 7 weeks. Good luck!
