I tried to do a search, here's what came back:---Server Error in '/forum' Application.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------There is no row at position 0. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.IndexOutOfRangeException: There is no row at position 0.Source Error: The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example: <%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>or:2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:<configuration> <system.web> <compilation debug="true"/> </system.web></configuration>Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario. Stack Trace: [IndexOutOfRangeException: There is no row at position 0.] System.Data.RBTree`1.GetNodeByIndex(Int32 userIndex) +1879962 System.Data.DataRowCollection.get_Item(Int32 index) +14 ThreadList1.FirstChoice(Int64 ID1) +202 ThreadList1.NewQuery(String strText) +67 List1.f_SearchRequest(String customerevent) +22 SearchBar.btnSearchThreads_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) +37 System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) +105 System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument) +107 System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.System.Web.UI.IPostBackEventHandler.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument) +7 System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(IPostBackEventHandler sourceControl, String eventArgument) +11 System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(NameValueCollection postData) +33 System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +5102

Right - not the most interesting thread in the forum. However it reminds me of some of my own concerns over IT, so: I have done a test search for you and it completed it as normal. It is probably therefore more likely to be your internet connection/system - have you tried logging on and off, and trying again ? How reliable is your connection/ does it always function normally? i.e. is it prone to this type of error sometimes? I suppose a new forum might malfunction with some connections and not others, but it is unlikely. Post another response and tell us how you got on - someone at TC might help you out.

It's not a connection error - go and stand in the corner, please. You can see it is a Server error, it points to the "forum" share on the server so this clearly spewed out the error directly from the server hosting the forum. D'oh.

For the one who claimed it was user error -- we're not all morons when it comes to IT. A few of us here actually understand how these systems are bolted together, and yes, it was clearly a server error (which is why I posted it here). For the techies at TC, it would appear that the error occurs on any search criteria that returns no results (try 'asdfasdf' as a search string that consistently fails).

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We'll look into this ASAP and have the search function revised so that the error message is not returned. Should also have some additional functionality being added shortly too... Tony
