Sounds like an interview I went to recently with IBM.Got the job offer, but was so unimpressed by their lack of professionalism that I turned it down.Doesn't augur well for your career with a firm, if they can't get the initial interviews right

I am not a consultant. I have a BA MA and MSc and I joined a very large public transportation organisation in 2003 as part of their graduate management training scheme, after 18 months was managing 500 drivers and 18 operational staff. CG's role is advertised as Junior Business consultant and one of the requirements are you must have completed a grad training scheme. Details can be found in their career section of their website. Do a search for 'junior'. After Big A's experience and that other fellow at IBM coupled with the horror stories on this board I'm not entirely sure if I want to proceed with a consulting role!

I work for CG as a junior consultant and was similarly unimpressed by IBM. They would have had to offer me silly money to work there as a junior consultant when I want to develop in a development conducive environment, not in a firm with an unprofessional joke of a recruitment process!

Hi CG

CG, are you on a graduate programme or did you join as an experienced hire? I have applied for a junior consultant role with CG. What are you working on?

I would avoid Cap Gemini - too many big public sector public to get lost in for years.
