Mate, it could well be you've come up against the old "I bloody well didn´t get to that stage til I was 26 so this young upstart can wait" syndrome. A company's policies are only as strong as how well they are enforced and in many cases recruitment is determined by the numbskull currently assigned to the task, and his various prejudices. Perhaps you didn`t go to the right school.
