Hi All,Has anyone done an assesment day with KPMG advisory services and could you tell me what to expect - I've got one soon. Also, what do people think of KPMG's chances of re-entering the consultancy market with their Performance Improvement practice? They're aiming for the operational strategy space and according to the recruitment agents they're aiming to double their size this year. Is this a good place to enter the consultancy market?

I heard from someone that works there that they pay very poorly indeed however they seem to have a very easy work schedule (9-6pm)!So if you're big on work life balance and not rewards this might be fine.

Hmmm... I know someone who works for PA who went to interview with them last year, and they couldn't even beat PA's salary, so I doubt they're paying big money

Guys I understand that apart from the big strat houses only deloitte and PA are the ones who offer anything above 30 K at graduate level. Given the emphasis on Bonus at PA and the 2.5 K more at Deloitte, theres not much difference between these two. Accenture pay around 28k, IBM 26K, BT Consulting 28k. Does anyone know howmuch CapGem PWC and EY Bas pay? Whoelse at graduate level pays more? Generally graduate salaries are reflective of the organizations approach to renumeration. Is there are graduate salary survey outthere? Perhaps we can try to get one going and then rate these places?

HiThe process is fairly simple - you have a group exercise (advice is let the pushy people get on with it and faciliate more ...) then you have individual presentation which you need to prepare in advance then a would you fit interview and then a skills interview - its fairly relaxed and not a stressful day - however i was a little shocked by the quality of people interviewing ...

I've just been to a KPMG Advisory assessment centre for experienced hires. I had to do a presentation, technnical interview (public sector), HR interview and group exercise. I don't think the quality of the people was that high, both those assessing and the other candidates. They could offer me anymore cash that what I'm earning now so we went our separate ways.
