All,Does the CISA qualification have any value in the wider consulting world (i.e., beyond the audit arena.....)?

I write from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and suggest that you define the meaning of CISA. The UAE a former British Protectorate and its tenth largest market, yet, but judjing from Appointment advertisements in the local press virtually no one specifies a requirement for British Professional Qualifications - as I believe should be the case.As Chair of PCE UAE (Professional Chartered Engineers Group) and Fellow of IMC, ICE, IMechE and IET I have tried to do my bit. I suggest that IMC (and others) get facts and stop talking about 'Internationally recognised professional qualification' when they are not although CA is ahead of CEng. We must act to get the qualifications understood, recognised and specified eg by stating them in communications.

AIMM, it depends upon your definition of the word "define". Etymologically and semantically speaking, you have driven yourself into a metaphorical cul-de-sac, but not of course in the literal sense (unless of course you have done exactly that).
