I'm a consultant (soon to be project leader) in one of BCG's smaller offices (in a developing European country).Lately I've been missing London where I studied and worked for years before joining the firm and I've been thinking of returning.Can anyone advise me on what my chances would be to join a strategy firm in the UK, (boutiques seem more attractive though I'd be interested in other options too). I'd like to join at the same level more or less. Would the BCG name be helpful or would my lack of recent exposure to the UK market be a problem?

You have exactly the right level of experience with the right firm & brand. Due to the consulting boom demand in the strat. consulting market in the UK is high especially for experienced consultants/ proj. managers. The window for this trend in the market may not last for more than a year, so moving now is the prudent decision. I don't think that lack of exposure to the UK market will be much of an issue at your level, unless you need to be selling work.

Thanks. I am mainly interested in the good strategy boutiques, rather than big 4 etc. Would this fly? All comments would be appreciated.
